101 Overseas Chinese Youths Trace Roots in Yinzhou
On July 13, the 2026 “Kinship of China · Root-seeking Summer Camp” Zhejiang-Ningbo Session kicked off in Yinzhou. A total of 101 overseas Chinese teenagers from 18 countries visited local schools and enterprises, experiencing traditional Chinese culture and cutting-edge technological innovation through immersive activities.
In the morning, the students took part in traditional cultural experiences at Jinshan Primary School, including Chinese tea whipping, opera appreciation, calligraphy writing and glutinous rice ball making, gaining firsthand insight into the charm of traditional Chinese heritage.
In the afternoon, the group visited Ningbo Yongxin Optics Co., Ltd. They learned about the development of China’s optical industry, ranging from traditional lenses and nano-level observation technology to high-precision optical instruments applied in space exploration. At the company’s “Light Chasing Laboratory”, the teenagers operated professional microscopes to explore the microscopic world and experience China’s achievements in optical technology.
