Yinzhou Adds 39 Municipal-level Enterprise R&D Institutions
Reporters learned from the District Bureau of Science and Technology on July 28 that Ningbo has unveiled the list of recognized municipal key enterprise research institutes and enterprise technology R&D centers for 2026. Yinzhou secured 6 new municipal key enterprise research institutes and 33 new municipal enterprise technology R&D centers. The number of newly accredited institutions ranks among the top across Ningbo, further expanding the district’s innovation ecosystem.
The six Yinzhou enterprises accredited as municipal key enterprise research institutes are: Ningbo Jingcheng Electric Motor Co., Ltd., Digital Ningbo Technology Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Liangye Group Co., Ltd., Ningbo CRRC Rail Transit Equipment Co., Ltd., Ningbo Metallurgical Investigation, Design and Research Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Yizhou Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.
Thirty-three local enterprises were named municipal enterprise technology R&D centers, including Ningbo AUX Electric Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Junrui Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., Ningbo Zhonghe Technology Co., Ltd., Ningbo Zhongxin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Jiahui Xuyuan (Zhejiang) Intelligent Electric Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Zhongzhe New Energy Co., Ltd., and Ningbo Shanshan Silicon-based Materials Co., Ltd.
Ningbo Jingcheng Electric Motor Co., Ltd., one of the newly recognized municipal key enterprise research institutes, has invested nearly 140 million yuan in R&D over the past three years. Its 1,000-plus R&D team covers interdisciplinary expertise in electrical engineering, materials, software and machinery. The company collaborates with Zhejiang University of Technology and other universities to tackle key technical projects. Going forward, it will pursue research on lightweight, low-noise and high-reliability motors to support the electrification and intelligent transformation of the automotive industry.
“The accreditation as a municipal enterprise technology R&D center fully recognizes our long-term commitment to technological innovation and R&D investment,” said a representative from Jiahui Xuyuan (Zhejiang) Intelligent Electric Co., Ltd. The firm specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of power distribution switch control equipment, focusing on intelligent power distribution systems, industrial connectors and supporting new energy equipment. It has deployed precision instruments worth over 5 million yuan and employs more than 30 R&D staff. Its self-developed industrial intelligent waterproof power distribution systems and intelligent low-voltage integrated distribution boxes have been put into production.
The vigorous drive among enterprises to build innovation platforms is backed by Yinzhou’s comprehensive support policies for science and innovation. Up to now, the district boasts a total of 14 municipal key enterprise research institutes and 407 municipal enterprise technology R&D centers. In accordance with the Measures for the Administration of Yinzhou District Special Funds for Science and Innovation (2026), newly recognized municipal and higher-level R&D platforms can receive subsidies of up to 1 million yuan. Enterprises achieving targeted growth in R&D spending qualify for grants of as much as 500,000 yuan. The district also facilitates university-enterprise cooperation, improves the tiered cultivation system for corporate innovation, and incentivizes enterprises to boost research and build robust innovation platforms with tangible financial support.
