Yinzhou Achieves Best Historical Results at Ningbo Agricultural Expo
On December 29, it was learned from the Rural Industry Development Section of the District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau that, during the recently concluded Ningbo Agricultural Expo, participating units from our district achieved a total sales exceeding 1 million yuan and secured intended orders valued at 2.5 million yuan over four exhibition days, marking the best performance in the event's history.
It is reported that the 2025 Ningbo Agricultural Expo opened at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center on December 26, lasting four days. Our district organized a total of 37 agricultural entities to participate, covering primary, secondary, and tertiary agricultural products. Special exhibitions such as the digital plant factory model and the seed and tea zone became focal points on-site.
This year, the digital plant factory model was a highlight of the Yinzhou pavilion. The model simulated plant growth environments through precise artificial control of five key elements—temperature, light, water, air, and fertilizer—showcasing products like air-cultured cucumbers and tomatoes, and hydroponic watermelons and sweet bell peppers.
In addition to the digital agriculture display, the Yinzhou pavilion dedicated sections to seeds and tea, highlighting achievements in building a "strong seed industry district." The exhibition area neatly displayed Weimeng melon and vegetable seeds, Ningbo Seed Industry rice seeds, and various breeding achievements. The tea zone prominently promoted the regional brand "Taibai Dicul," alongside showcasing premium products like Fuquan Ming Tea and Molan Purple Tea. On December 27, Yinzhou also hosted a special promotion event for premium teas, further promoting local tea brands.
In the brand display area, a brand wall featuring 50 agricultural product trademarks was particularly eye-catching. It is understood that our district has cultivated regional brands such as "Yin Kelai" and "Yinzhou Xuecai (Salted Vegetable)," as well as township-level brands like Xianxiang's "Fresh 2 Degrees" and Tangxi's "Jin Jin You Wei." These branding efforts drive increased income for farmers.
As the only geographical indication agricultural product in our district, the production technique of "Qiu'ai Xianji (Salted Mustard)" has been listed as a provincial intangible cultural heritage. This time, four leading salted vegetable processing enterprises from our district jointly exhibited, bringing over 30 products. The 36-square-meter Yinzhou Xuecai exhibition area was particularly attention-grabbing in Hall 2.
Shao Mingjie, the head of Ningbo Pro Digital Plant Factory, participating for the first time, expressed satisfaction with the expo's effect: "Citizens were very interested in our cultivation methods and products." The hydroponic lettuce and strawberries brought by the enterprise, meeting fresh-eating standards, became popular choices in the tasting area during the four-day event. Similarly a first-time participant, Dongqian Lake Lushan Tea Garden brought red tea and scented tea suitable for Spring Festival consumption. The responsible person, Zhang Lizhen, stated hopes to expand the product market and seek partners through the Agricultural Expo.
Ningbo Fuquanshan Tea Plantation, participating for three consecutive years, introduced the newly developed full series of Molan Purple Tea products alongside its regular offerings this year. Deputy Plantation Director Xu Yanyang noted that the special promotion event allowed more citizens to learn about this high-end new product and also garnered their affirmation, making the Agricultural Expo a fruitful endeavor.
