Yinzhou's Economy Sustains Growth with Green, Innovative Momentum
On July 25, Ningbo Gaosheng Electric Co., Ltd. began packing its second batch of smart circuit breakers for export to Indonesia. Boosted by Southeast Asian market expansion, the company achieved H1 2025 output value exceeding 30 million yuan, up 5% year-on-year, driving increased electricity consumption.
According to State Grid Yinzhou Power Supply Company, the district’s total electricity consumption reached 6.179 billion kWh in H1, rising 7.31% year-on-year, with monthly averages exceeding 1.03 billion kWh.
As an economic "barometer" and industrial "weather vane," this steady growth reflects Yinzhou’s optimized industrial structure and emerging economic drivers.
Industrial Power: Core Engine
Secondary industry dominated electricity use (2.772 billion kWh, +5.81%), underscoring manufacturing’s robust role. Manufacturing alone consumed 2.547 billion kWh (+5.64%), with high-end and smart sectors shining:
Computer, communication, and electronic equipment manufacturing: >10.30% growth
Automotive manufacturing: >10.30% growth
"As growth figures show, Yinzhou’s manufacturing is advancing toward high-end, smart, and green transformation under carbon neutrality goals," stated Zhang Kebo, Director of Development at State Grid Yinzhou.
Digital Surge
Data centers and computing hubs fueled a 21.54% spike in electricity use for "information transmission, software, and IT services." One local smart computing firm saw its power consumption surge over 23%.
EV Revolution Drives Cross-Sector Growth
Service consumption emerged as a key growth driver, even boosting state-subsidized manufacturing. With rising EV adoption:
EV charging/swapping services: +43.32% electricity use
Wholesale/retail sector (where EV services comprise 26.26%): +14% growth
This synergy highlights how new energy consumption and upgraded consumption patterns reinforce each other, accelerating green economic transitions.
