"AI Ningbo"-AI Empowering Industry Competition Yinzhou Sub-district Finals and the First Yinzhou District AI Entrepreneurship Competition Held
On December 24, the finals of the Second "AI Ningbo" AI Empowering Industry Competition Yinzhou Sub-district and the First Yinzhou District Artificial Intelligence Entrepreneurship Competition were held. This event brought together multiple forces, aiming to accelerate the deep integration of artificial intelligence innovation achievements with the local industry, injecting new quality productive forces into high-quality regional development.
It is reported that the competition was hosted by the Yinzhou District Party Committee and District Government, with guidance from the Municipal Party Committee Talent Work Leading Group Office. At the finals, 25 AI innovation projects, selected from 362 global submissions, competed on the same stage. The projects covered multiple cutting-edge fields such as AI+Healthcare, Intelligent Manufacturing, and Intelligent Software, showcasing a series of innovative applications close to real scenarios and addressing practical pain points—from "Seamless Visual Focus Tracking" to "High-Frequency Maintenance Robots for Stone Flooring"—fully demonstrating the immense potential of AI to empower industries and the vitality of the innovation ecosystem.
The competition focused on core areas of new quality productive forces like artificial intelligence, paying particular attention to technological practicality and market prospects, striving to attract high-quality projects that deeply integrate with the local industrial foundation. The competing projects generally possessed clear market orientation and industrialization potential, aiming to infuse new momentum into Ningbo's manufacturing upgrade through strengthened technological empowerment and scenario application, achieving the long-term development goal of "introducing one project, driving one industry."
After intense competition, the "AR/VR Smart Glasses Module" project, relying on its independent R&D capabilities in the near-eye display field and deep collaboration with leading manufacturers like Huawei and Rokid, won the Special Prize. The "Advanced Algorithms + Generative AI-Driven Full-Link Intelligent Solution for Industrial Machine Tools" project, relying on its technological barriers established in the field of industrial machine tool intelligence and its market-validated solutions, secured the First Prize. These winning projects are not only technologically advanced but also demonstrate clear prospects for industrialization in Yinzhou and for developing strong linkages with the local manufacturing chain.
For many years, our district has been fully committed to building a "tropical rainforest-style" innovation ecosystem. As one of the first five pilot zones in Zhejiang Province for AI empowerment in manufacturing (focusing on automobiles and key components)—the only one in the city—Yinzhou is concentrating on eight emerging future industries, including AI and industrial software, intelligent robotics, high-end industrial machine tools, and the low-altitude economy. It has also released the "AI Innovation Axis," aiming to establish a full-chain support system from technology R&D to industrial application. This competition is precisely a key initiative under this strategy, using the contest as a medium to precisely connect global innovation resources with local industrial needs.
To promote the on-site transformation of innovation outcomes, the competition specially invited 34 investment and financing institutions, including the Municipal Angel Fund, Topsperity Fund, and Nodestone Venture Capital, as well as representatives from local tech enterprises like YunSheng, Loctek, and Xiao Liu, to conduct face-to-face, in-depth connections with the project teams. Additionally, the competition provided robust supporting policies; Yinzhou Bank offered the winning projects a special credit line totaling 10 billion yuan on-site, forming a comprehensive support system integrating "investment, loans, and subsidies," effectively assisting excellent projects in taking root and growing in Yinzhou.
The competition organizer stated that in the future, they will continue to use the competition as an important link, continuously attracting and nurturing high-quality AI projects, promoting the deep integration of the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, and talent chain, providing solid support for Yinzhou and even Ningbo to seize the high ground in the AI industry and build a modern industrial system.
