The Fifth National Industrial Design Professional Skills Competition Concludes in Yinzhou
On December 12, the finals of the 2025 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition—the Fifth National Industrial Design Professional Skills Competition—concluded in Yinzhou. At the closing ceremony, the Yinzhou District People's Government and the Yinzhou District Federation of Trade Unions were awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Unit" award in recognition of their exceptional contributions in areas such as event organization and service support.
During the finals held from December 9 to 12, outstanding designers, skilled talents, faculty, and students from across the country gathered at the Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center, engaging in intense competition across multiple cutting-edge contest categories. On-site, drafters demonstrated digital craftsmanship, AI trainers showcased algorithmic breakthroughs, and furniture and ceramic designers blended tradition with innovation. The four major categories competed concurrently, upholding the artisan spirit while pulsating with the era's innovation-driven momentum. This was made possible by Yinzhou's high-level coordination and dedicated support.
As the host location for the competition, Yinzhou ensured its high-standard operation with a strong sense of responsibility, showcasing the warmth of Yinzhou's service. From preparation to execution, the Yinzhou District Government coordinated various resources to ensure an excellent competition environment and smooth procedures. The Yinzhou District Federation of Trade Unions was deeply involved throughout the entire process, providing comprehensive and meticulous support in areas such as venue setup and on-site services. This honor is a high recognition of Yinzhou's event-hosting capabilities and a full affirmation of the district's role in promoting vocational skills competitions and serving the national talent strategy.
During the competition, a "Lake & Coffee" coffee cart served as an energy station for the contestants. It offered competition-limited "3-yuan Americano" and "6-yuan latte," with affordable and friendly service earning praise from many contestants and judges. Contestant Zhang Jiandong from the Guizhou Provincial delegation stated, "It's the first time I've seen such a small food cart—affordable prices and a great experience." Reportedly, this coffee cart was launched jointly by the District Federation of Trade Unions, a coffee brand, and Qianhu Tourism. It functioned not only as a beverage point but also as a temporary service station for union members, simultaneously providing thoughtful services such as bread and resting areas.
Concurrently, the "Ningbo Shared Prosperity Workshop Special Discount" event was held. All contestants, judges, and guests could purchase featured products like locally sourced cultural and creative designs, intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, and agricultural specialties from Ningbo through exclusive discounts. "Hongmeiren" citrus and rice cake snacks were the "top sellers," while cultural products like refrigerator magnets fully integrated traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics, showcasing Ningbo's profound regional culture. By stimulating consumption to boost vitality, the event created a platform for matching local creations with market demand.
