Dongqian Lake Launches "One-Stop" Summer Escapes
As heatwaves sweep the city, where to find respite? On July 7, Dongqian Lake Administrative Committee announced two simultaneous weekend activities: "Sunset Glow Concert at Shangshui Tent Camp" and "Fuquan Mountain Starry Camping Season (Phase 2)". Blending "cultural gatherings + immersive nature experiences", this innovative combo offers Yangtze River Delta visitors a "one-stop" summer escape amidst landscapes of cool breezes and romance.
Grassland Melodies Under Twilight
At 5 p.m. this Saturday, Shangshui Tent Camp’s open grassland transforms into a natural amphitheater. This free-entry concert features professional folk singers performing hits, allowing visitors to soak in the lake’s sunset hues while enjoying live music—and even take the stage spontaneously. On-site offerings include crayfish, local snacks, and beverages from the International Lake House Café, delivering "dual therapy for ears and taste buds."
"Zero admission barriers—just bring your backpack. Perfect for youth getaways and family outings," said Dong Min, General Manager of Ningbo Dongqian Lake Cultural Tourism. The accessible format promises effortless lakeside relaxation.
Mountain Summit Under Starlight
Simultaneously, the nature-immersive "Fuquan Mountain Starry Camping Season" begins. Buses depart from the visitor center at 3 p.m. Saturday, ascending to Fuquan Mountain’s peak at 556 meters. Visitors pitch tents near Longtan Tea House’s grassland, awaiting a dazzling starry night.
At dawn, guides lead a hike to the "Sunrise Observation Deck" to witness the crimson sun leaping from sea of clouds, illuminating endless tea fields.
Complementary Experiences
These paired events form a strategic "high-low" matrix:
Free concerts lower barriers, boosting visitor traffic
Alpine camping enhances overnight stays with distinctive experiences
Whether seeking "artistic serenity by the lake" or fulfilling "starry mountain dreams," Dongqian Lake delivers tailored summer solutions.
Weekend Ritual All Summer
Weather permitting, both activities will run weekly through September. From lakeside folk melodies to mountaintop galaxies, culinary delights to natural wonders, Dongqian Lake redefines short summer getaways through "light cultural tourism + deep immersion + cultural enrichment." Your cool retreat awaits.
