Shen Min Inspects Preparations for the 4th China-CEEC Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair
On the morning of May 10, Shen Min, Member of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Secretary of the Yinzhou District Party Committee, inspected the preparations for the 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair in Beilun District. He stressed the importance of fully implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s key instructions and congratulatory letter, adhering to central, provincial, and municipal Party decisions, and raising political awareness. Shen called for stronger responsibility and improved service support to ensure the Expo’s success through practical efforts. Hu Jianyong and Zhu Jianmin joined the inspection.
The Feigo Yunshang Valley Fashion Technology Park will hold the opening ceremony of the CEEC Premium Products Direct Sales Center during the Expo. Shen conducted on-site inspections of the Expo preparations, stressing the importance of meticulous and comprehensive service arrangements to enhance the experience for all participants and provide a high-quality platform for outcome announcements, project promotions, and trade connections.
At the Ningbo International Conference Center, Dongqian Lake Huamao Hilton Hotel, and Wanglan Hotel, Shen reviewed the readiness of key venues, hotels, and surrounding environmental improvements. He urged a focus on critical aspects, continuous refinement of plans, and coordinated efforts in traffic optimization, resource allocation, and personnel deployment. He also emphasized starting with details to implement high-standard urban cleaning, organization, greening, beautification, and lighting projects, striving to lead by example.
During his inspection, Shen emphasized that hosting the 4th China-CEEC Expo is a critical mission assigned to Ningbo by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, serving as a key platform to advance Ningbo’s high-level global engagement. He urged Beilun District to take this responsibility seriously, prioritize national interests, and proactively tackle challenges. High-quality preparations for the Expo should showcase Yinzhou’s dedication, embodying the “Two Upholds” through tangible efforts.
Shen called for a heightened sense of urgency, using the Expo as an opportunity to align with comprehensive land and space management initiatives, address weaknesses, raise standards, and enhance urban quality and efficiency to support city and provincial goals. He stressed that safety is paramount, requiring thorough risk assessments and strong measures to ensure safety in production, public security, and other areas, securing both the Expo and city operations.
Additionally, he encouraged the district to highlight the Expo’s key moments, plan strategic media coverage, and promote Beilun’s appeal as a leading modern coastal metropolis district. Shen underscored the need for coordinated teamwork and a “six hardworking” spirit, urging towns, streets, and departments to actively collaborate, communicate effectively, and unite efforts to ensure the Expo’s success, impact, and ongoing improvement.
