Yinzhou Dragon Boat Culture displayed at the Photo Exhibition in Varna, Bulgaria

At 9:30 a.m. local time on October 29, at the "Local Cooperation Exchange Meeting to Commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Bulgaria" held in Varna, Bulgaria, the "Theme Photo Exhibition to Commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Bulgaria & the 20th Anniversary of Ningbo and Varna Becoming Sister Cities" was unveiled. Yinzhou elements became an important part of the photo exhibition, which witnessed the sincere friendship between the people of China and Bulgaria. Dai Qingli, Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria, Jiang Jiang, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Zahari Zahariev, Chairman of the Bulgarian "Belt and Road" Federation, Blagomir Kotsev, Mayor of Varna, Xu Yan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of the Ningbo City, and Hong Hai, Director of Sofia Chinese Culture Center cut the ribbon for the event.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bulgaria, as well as the 20th anniversary of Ningbo and Varna becoming sister cities. Over the past 20 years, with the deepening exchanges between the two places, the Dragon Boat culture has also been introduced from Ningbo to Bulgaria, becoming a "cultural ambassador" for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road". The "Dragon Boat Building a Bridge of Friendship" part of this photo exhibition focuses on the presentation of four international event standard dragon boat, dragon boat drums, dragon boat benches, paddles and other related items in the Yinzhou District, and the creation of a new brand of cultural exchanges between China and Bulgaria through the introduction of the dragon boat culture; the City of Ruse in Bulgaria organized a comprehensive seminar on dragon boat sports events and sports skill improvement, and went to Yinzhou to learn about the traditional culture of Chinese Dragon Boat and the basic knowledge of dragon boat sports, and participated in the "China · Ningbo (Yinzhou) - Bulgaria · Ruse Dragon Boat Friendship Competition" in the Yunlong Town.

At the exhibition, in addtion to the dragon boat culture related photos, there were also photos of Yinzhou landmarks such as the Eastern New Town, the Southern New Town and the Sanjiangkou, showing the opening-up and modern image of Yinzhou. A local audience said that after seeing the happy scenes of dragon boat activities, it's believed that more and more Bulgarians will like dragon boat activities. They are looking forward to the world championship in the coming year, and hope they can experience the exciting dragon boat race in Yinzhou.
