Shen Min inspects work related to epidemic prevention and control in the Wuxiang Town and Qiuga Town

On January 3, Shen Min, Vice Mayor of the Ningbo City and Secretary of the CPC Yinzhou District Committee, made a visit to the Wuxiang Town and the Qiuga Town to inspect work related to epidemic prevention and control and extended regards to the front-line workers on duty. He emphasized that we should conscientiously learn to understand the spirit of the important speech and important instructions made by general secretary Xi Jinping for epidemic prevention and control, fully implement municipal and provincial deployment requirements, sink into the front line with a high sense of responsibility, ensure more accurate and strict management of key areas and major persons, and resolutely win the fight of resistance and annihilation for epidemic prevention and control. District leaders, including Zheng Kunfa and Yan Shien, participated in the visits.

Shen Min firstly paid a visit to a COVID Testing site in the Cultural and Sports Center in the Wuxiang Town. Four sampling channels are opened up at this site, and 1-meter line is set at intervals. Under the guidance of the working staff onsite, residents are having their COVID testing in an orderly and rapid manner. Shen Min inquired about the flow of people and guarantee work at the testing site in detail, and emphasized that we should make nucleic acid testing compulsory among all key groups as soon as possible, that waiting areas and sampling areas should be reasonably set up to shorten the waiting time and ensure that people do not gather together densely and queue up long, and that hospitals and drugstores should play the sentinel role to strengthen investigation and management of key persons.

During the stay in the Ningbo Kashion Apparel Co., Ltd., Shen Min learnt in detail the accommodation and working environment of enterprise employees and acknowledged the measures that had been taken by the company to encourage excellent workers to stay at work by introducing incentive measures and formulating Spring Festival production plans and so on. The person in charge of the company was told to coordinate the epidemic prevention and control and production, so as to make the employees feel at ease in Yinzhou during the coming Chinese New Year.

Later on, Shen Min went to the People’s Government of the Wuxiang Town, extending regards to the working staff on duty during the New Year’s Day holiday and inquiring about difficulties that had been encountered for epidemic prevention. He said that we should take the front-line epidemic prevention important and urgent with a high sense of responsibility and crisis consciousness, and that we should stay and guard the “small gates” to ensure that we are responsible and efficient.

While at the COVID Testing site in the Cultural and Sports Center in the Qiuga Town, Shen Min learnt in detail the peak passenger flow and service guarantee. 3 channels have been set up at this site. Under the guidance of volunteers onsite, one person is able to have his/her testing finished within 30 minutes. Shen Min affirmed what the site had done and asked the working staff onsite to continue to do a good job in improvement, try their best to reduce testing time and provide faster and better testing services for the mass public.

After that, Shen Min visited the People’s Government of the Qiuga Town to extend regards to the working staff onsite, saying that as an area with a large number of population and high-flowing population, the government should focus on areas with a lot of rental houses and construction sites at the junction of urban and suburban areas, investigate in detail, eliminate dead corners, and strengthen accurate management and joint interactive defense of floating population to prevent dense gathering-together of people.

Personnel management on construction sites is the focus of epidemic prevention and control. At the construction site of the project of Jiangshan Wanli along the Minghu Lake, Shen Min scanned the code, had his temperature measured, registered, and wore a helmet before entering the construction site. He carefully asked workers about accommodation, meals and team management, and checked workers’ testing records and flow tracks. At present, the construction site strictly implements the “one person, one table” management system, carries out COVID testing for employees every week and disinfection and sterilization of canteens and toilets on a regular basis. Shen Min stressed that epidemic prevention measures should be strictly implemented, responsibilities should be taken at all levels, detailed to teams and individuals, so as to ensure construction site safety in the whole district.

During the inspection, Shen Min emphasized that the current situation of epidemic prevention and control is severe and complex. We should attach great importance to it, tighten the string of epidemic prevention and control, remain vigilant and never slacken our efforts, and achieve normalized epidemic prevention and control without slackening or a stop. We should seize the speed, scientifically and reasonably set testing sites and strengthen service guidance, so as to make nucleic acid testing compulsory among all key groups as soon as possible. We should focus on key areas, pay close attention to key areas with a large number of rental houses and construction sites, manage the personnel returning to Yinzhou from areas with medium and high risks, improve the personnel management mechanism, and strictly implement quarantine measures. We should sink into the front line. Cadres in towns, sub-districts and departments should take the initiative to fight against the epidemic on the front line in villages, communities and enterprises, and to cooperate with and guided the front-line epidemic prevention, so as to solidly guarded the “small gates”. It’s also necessary to strengthen publicity, improve benefits, ensure production, encourage employees to stay in Yinzhou for the coming Chinese New Year, and go all out to invite quality employees to stay, so as to contribute to epidemic prevention and control.
