Yinzhou launches a series of activities with “a thousand people taking tours to learn a hundred-year red history”

In the morning of May 9, the opening ceremony of a series of activities with a thousand people taking tours to learn a hundred-year red history, themed “exerting joint efforts for the Party and continuing to write a splendid chapter to the Party”, was held in Shan Yuan. Chen Hong, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yinzhou District Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department, attended the ceremony.

In the early stage of the activity, the United Front Work Department of the CPC Yinzhou District Committee focused on the idea of “urban+ rural” and “red spot+ united front” and come up with 4 routes, namely route 1 from the Monument of Heroes and Martyrs in the Yinzhou District to the former residence of Zhou Yao, route 2 from the Wandi Political Life Hall to the QinYong Village, route 3 from the Shan Yuan to the former residence of the Sha Family, and route 4 from the former site of Hefeng Cotton Mill to the former residence of Tong Dizhou, for learning the red history.

At the ceremony, 8 joint-effort education bases in the district were awarded and team leaders of 4 learning teams took over the flag on behalf of their teams. The four teams of the “Tongxin Team” composed of non-public economy individuals, the “Tongde Team” composed of people from ethnic and religious circles, the “Tongsheng Team” composed of non-Party intellectuals and people from new social circles, and the “Tongxing Team” composed of people from various democratic parties, carried out their first activity respectively along the above mentioned 4 routes, so as to draw wisdom and spiritual strength for further development by ways of reading red letters, listening to red memories and singing red songs together and so on.

It’s pointed out by Chen Hong at her speech made at the ceremony, carrying out red history learning tours is to review the character of remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind. All the members of the United Front should earnestly link up the learning of the Party’s history, the history of the United Front and the learning and practice of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, so as to constantly enhance cohesion and commitment; carrying out red history learning tours is to unite United Front forces while in inheriting excellent traditions. All the members of the United Front should take the initiative to follow the example set by the sages, inherit and carry forward the excellent tradition of the United Front, always maintain close unity and full of love for the hometown, and constantly gather wisdom and strength to strengthen self-construction; carrying out red history learning tours is to shoulder our mission in the new journey. All the members of the United Front should firmly establish the ambition of striving for better, firmly shoulder the responsibility of the times, further transform the initial spirit of exerting joint efforts into the power for “doing practical things and making new advances”, change the service center into an integration one, give full play to the advantages of intelligence intensive and talent gathering, and actively carry out activities collecting suggestions, work together to promote grassroots governance, and help attract investment, talents and realize urban renewal and digital reform and so on in an all-round way, so as to add to the prestige of the power of the United Front.

For the next step, the United Front Work Department of the CPC Yinzhou District Committee will continue to promote the history learning tours by adopting the way that each route is available for independent choices, and it is planned that 1,000 people on behalf of the United Front would participate in the tours to learn the red history.
