Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University (NIT)

Invested by the People's Government of Ningbo Municipality and administrated by Zhejiang University, Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University was founded in June 2001, which was approved by the State Education Ministry and Zhejiang Provincial Government. It is a full-time general institution of higher learning that offers undergraduate courses and is entitled to be treated as an independent legal entity.

Covering an area of over 80 hectares with a total floor space of 330,000 square meters, Ningbo Institute of Technology is located at Ningbo Higher Education Zone with an investment totaling 840 million yuan (RMB). Designed to hold up to 10,000 students, the institute currently comprises 11 departments and offers 24 specialties.
