The 14th Wang Yinglin Reading Festival kicks off

The fragrance of books is the key to achieving success. April 23 is the World Book and Copyright Day, and the Launching Ceremony of the 14th Wang Yinglin Reading Festival & "Literary Yinzhou" Fang Yu Minds Sharing Meeting were held at the Academician Center by the Dongqian Lake. This grand event, full of charm of the ancient Song Dynasty and literature, carries forward the spirit of scholars of the past in Yinzhou, and releases content related to fostering a love of reading among our people. Fang Yu, a hostess of the Voice of Zhejiang and the ambassador for fostering a love of reading among all our people in Yinzhou, had talks with onsite guests on the "power of reading". 

A city is beautiful due to the literature, brimful due to reading, and prosperous due to culture. At the launching ceremony, the reading report released a VCR, with a series of data showcasing the achievements of fostering a love of reading among all our people in Yinzhou. As an important part of the "Accompanying Children to Read Classics" Ningbo Activity for Fostering a Love of Reading among All Our People and one of the important activities of the Yinzhou District Ancient Song Dynasty Charm Featured Cultural Season, this year's Wang Yinglin Reading Festival will successively launch more than 30 reading activities of 5 major categories, including the First "Yajun Cup" Picture Book Reading Camp, the Tianya Poetry Works Recitation activity, the Finals of the 9th "Joyful Childhood Reading" Creative Picture Book Drama Performance Competition in the Ningbo City & 20th Yinzhou District Teenagers' Reading Festival, the Literary Yinzhou · Joyful Reading Meeting (Season V), the large-scaled "Spring --- Century Literature" Book Exhibition, the establishment of the "Yin Huo Chong" Children's Reading Alliance, and the "Gentlemen" Xu Haijiao New Book Release Meeting and so on, so as to further promote the fostering of a love of reading among all our people, build a literary district of Yinzhou, appreciate the classics with the charm of the ancient Song Dynasty, and inherit the Chinese cultural heritage.

This launching ceremony is also an event for sharing of reading experience and promotion of reading. Well-known cultural figures from both the Yinzhou District and the Zhejiang Province, including Jiang Lizi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Internet Writers Association, Lou Hansong, former Director of the Zhejiang University Library, Hu Chunbo, Director of the Yinzhou District Library, and Li Hao, Director of the Brother Hao's Reading Volunteer Service Center, gave themed presentations on "Reading is a Lifestyle", "Night Sail among Books: How to Read", "Construction and Service Models of Yinzhou District Library's 'Jin Study'", and "Gaining Growing Strength in Parent-child Reading" respectively.

The scene recitation of "Following Poems to Visit the Dongqian Lake" brought the atmosphere onsite back to a climax. In the subsequent micro interview session, Fang Yu had a warm interaction with four guests.

This event is hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Yinzhou District Committee, and undertaken by the Yinzhou District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Film, Tourism and Sports, the Economic Tourism and Development Bureau of Dongqian Lake Tourism Resort, and the Voice of Zhejiang of Zhejiang Media Group.
